40% aqueous glyoxal solution used as a crosslinker in textile finishing, paper coating and resin production.
Glyoxal is the simplest dialdehyde; it is used in crease-resistant (permanent press) finishing of textiles, as a starch crosslinker in paper/board coating, in leather tanning and in the synthesis of certain resins/heterocyclic compounds. It is commercially sold as a 40% aqueous solution.
