Low viscosity polyvinyl alcohol used in film-forming and adhesive formulations.
PVA 5/88 is a commercial product denoting a particular viscosity/degree of hydrolysis class of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH). It is a colorless-white, odorless, water-soluble polymer with high film-forming and adhesive properties. Because of its low viscosity it is preferred in thin film coating and adhesive applications.
