Greenish iron source salt used in water treatment, fertilizers and feed additives.

Iron(II) sulfate heptahydrate is a greenish crystalline iron salt containing seven molecules of water of crystallization. It is used as a flocculant/reducing agent in water and wastewater treatment, as a fertilizer and soil conditioner to correct iron deficiency in agriculture, and as an iron source in animal feed.
