Low-EO nonylphenol ethoxylate surfactant used in oil production, textiles and industrial detergents.

Neonol AF 9-4 (a Russian-origin trade name corresponding to NP-4) is a nonionic surfactant obtained by ethoxylating nonylphenol with an average of 4 mol of ethylene oxide; owing to its low degree of ethoxylation, it is more oil-soluble (lipophilic). It is used as an auxiliary in oil well stimulation/drilling fluids and in textile and metalworking fluids.
