Feed-grade sodium bicarbonate used as an animal feed additive for rumen buffering.

Sodium bicarbonate is a mildly basic salt obtained by saturating sodium carbonate with carbon dioxide. This feed-grade product is used as a rumen pH buffering additive in animal feeds, especially dairy cattle feeds.
