Food-grade sodium bicarbonate used as a leavening agent and acidity regulator in baking and the food industry.

Sodium bicarbonate is a mildly basic salt obtained by saturating sodium carbonate with carbon dioxide. This food-grade (E500ii) product is used as a baking powder component in baking, as an acidity regulator and leavening agent in the food industry, and also in washing/neutralization applications for food hygiene.
