Trichloroethylene is a colorless, volatile chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent. It is used as an industrial solvent, primarily in metal part degreasing/cleaning operations. It is classified in the EU as a carcinogen and mutagen; its use is restricted/subject to authorization under REACH.
