Ammonium salt used as baking powder in food, as a fertilizer and as a buffering agent.

Ammonium bicarbonate is a white crystalline salt that decomposes with heat into ammonia, carbon dioxide and water. It is used as a leavening agent in the food industry, as a nitrogen source in fertilizer production and in various buffering/neutralization applications.
