Food and Beverage

This group brings together the food grade additives and processing chemicals in the catalog, listed by the function they carry in a formulation.

Sweeteners and carbohydrates

• Acesulfame potassium, aspartame, sodium saccharin and sodium cyclamate as high-intensity sweeteners.
• Dextrose monohydrate, sorbitol and maltodextrin as bulk sweeteners, carriers and fillers.

Colorants and flavor

• Synthetic colorants: allura red, brilliant blue, carmoisine, chocolate brown, dark chocolate brown, erythrosine, pea green, ponceau 4R, quinoline yellow, sunset yellow and tartrazine.
• Liquid caramel color E150d, vanillin as a flavoring substance and monosodium glutamate as a flavor enhancer.

Preservatives, acidity regulators and antioxidants

• Potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, sodium metabisulfite in food grade, sodium sulfite and sodium nitrite for curing.
• Citric acid in anhydrous and monohydrate form, lactic acid 80%, acetic acid, phosphoric acid 85% food grade, trisodium citrate, sodium acetate and sodium acid pyrophosphate.
• Ascorbic acid as an antioxidant vitamin.

Texture, emulsification and mineral salts

• Guar gum, xanthan gum, soy lecithin, glyceryl monostearate, sorbitan monolaurate and polysorbate 20 as thickeners, stabilizers and emulsifiers.
• Sodium bicarbonate and ammonium bicarbonate as leavening agents; calcium chloride food grade as a coagulant and firming agent.
• Refined salt, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, disodium and monosodium phosphate, tetrasodium and tetrapotassium pyrophosphate and sodium hexametaphosphate as mineral salts, buffers and sequestrants.
