Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate is the form of magnesium sulfate that contains seven molecules of water of crystallization. Also known as Epsom salt, it occurs as white, odorless crystals. It is used in agriculture as a magnesium fertilizer. It is also used as a food additive and in cosmetic and bath salt production.
