A boron acid used in glass/ceramics, wood preservation and antiseptic formulations, classified due to its reproductive toxicity.
Boric acid (H3BO3) is a weak acid in the form of colorless crystals or white powder. It is used in glass fiber and borosilicate glass production, in ceramic glazes, in wood preservative and flame retardant formulations, and also in mild antiseptic/eyewash solutions. It is classified under CLP because of its toxic effect on the reproductive system.
