Nonionic ethoxylate used as a viscosity builder and solubilizer in surfactant systems.

Dehydol LS 3 (C12-14 Pareth-3, commonly known as Laureth-3) is a nonionic surfactant obtained by ethoxylating C12-C14 fatty alcohols with an average of 3 mol of ethylene oxide. It is used as a viscosity builder and solubilizer in anionic surfactant systems such as shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath. It can cause serious eye damage and is classified as very toxic to the aquatic environment.
