Personal Care and Cosmetics

These products are used in shampoo, liquid soap, cream, lotion and oral care formulations, and in the hair lightening and colorant systems that accompany them.

Cleansing surfactants and foam

• Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES 70%) and Texapon N28 as cleansing and foaming bases, with C14-16 olefin sulfonate.
• Cocamidopropyl betaine, cocamide DEA, cocamide MEA and lauramine oxide as foam boosters and viscosity modifiers.
• Ethylene glycol monostearate for pearlescence and a thickener for acidic surfactant systems.

Emulsifiers and conditioning

• Glyceryl monostearate in plain and self-emulsifying form, sorbitan monolaurate and monooleate, polysorbate 20 and the higher ethoxylated sorbitan esters.
• PEG-25 and PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil and ethoxylated castor oil as nonionic solubilizers and emulsifiers.
• Polyquaternium-7 as a cationic conditioning polymer.

Emollients, humectants and carriers

• Stearic acid grades, distilled coconut fatty acid, refined castor oil, hydrogenated palm stearin and liquid paraffin.
• Polyethylene glycols from PEG 300 to PEG 4000, PEG 400 oleate, hexylene glycol, monopropylene glycol food grade, pharmaceutical grade glycerin, sorbitol, magnesium sulfate and xanthan gum.

Preservation, chelation and color

• CMIT/MIT 14%, DMDM hydantoin, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate and benzyl alcohol.
• Disodium and tetrasodium EDTA, citric acid and trisodium citrate for chelation and pH adjustment, with triethanolamine 85%.
• Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as pigments, the water-soluble colorants used in cosmetic formulations, vanillin for fragrance and ascorbic acid.
• Ammonium, potassium and sodium persulfate for hair lightening formulations.
