The most widely used anionic surfactant raw material in detergents and cleaning products.
LABSA (linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid) is the most widely used anionic surfactant raw material in household and industrial cleaning products. It is a dark brown, viscous liquid miscible with water in all proportions; when neutralized with an alkali, it yields sodium LABS, a detergent base. Because it is corrosive to metals, it is not stored in carbon steel, aluminum or galvanized containers. The product is of Iranian origin.
