Solid polyethylene glycol used as an ointment/cream base in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) 1500 is a polymer mixture that is in solid/flake form at room temperature, with a low melting point. It is used as a solid carrier in cosmetic creams and pharmaceutical ointments, as a textile auxiliary and as an industrial mold release agent. It generally has low toxicity and is not classified under GHS.
