Castor oil (refined) is a natural oil obtained from the seeds of the castor plant (Ricinus communis) and containing a large proportion of ricinoleic acid triglyceride. It is used in cosmetic and personal care products, in the production of soap/fatty acid derivatives, in lubricant formulations and as a raw material for polyurethane/alkyd resins.
