Technical-grade stearic acid of Malaysian origin used in the soap, cosmetics and rubber industries.
Stearic acid (octadecanoic acid) is a saturated fatty acid obtained from vegetable and animal oils and fats. Technical-grade commercial products generally consist of a mixture of stearic and palmitic acid. The blend ratio varies according to the source oil and the product grade. It is used in soap production, as a cosmetic cream and lotion base, as an activator in rubber vulcanization and in candle production. Stearic Acid 1843 is a technical-grade product of Malaysian origin.
