Secondary alkane sulfonate (SAS) is an anionic surfactant with a sodium salt structure, produced by sulfonation of C13-C17 secondary alkanes. The product is an aqueous solution containing 60% active matter. It is used in detergent, industrial cleaning and textile auxiliary formulations.
