Vegetable (pyrogallol group) tannin extract obtained from the tara plant, used in leather tanning and retanning.

Tara tannin extract is a natural vegetable tannin obtained from the fruit pods of the Peruvian tara tree (Caesalpinia spinosa). It contains pyrogallol group tannins and is used in the leather industry as a tanning/retanning material in the production of light-colored, bright and light-fast leathers.
