Food-grade 85% phosphoric acid used as an acidifying additive (E338) in food and beverage production.
Phosphoric acid is a moderately strong mineral acid used in the food and beverage industry as an acidifying/preservative additive (E338). The food-grade product is purified to meet food-grade limits for impurities such as heavy metals and arsenic. Its basic chemical structure and hazard classification are the same as those of the technical grade.
