Cationic coagulant polymer used in water and wastewater treatment.

Poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (polyDADMAC) is a cationic polymer with high charge density and is generally marketed as an aqueous solution. It is used as a coagulant in drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, as a retention aid in pulp production and for the removal of negatively charged colloidal particles (algae, bacteria, organic matter).
