Inorganic salt used as a fertilizer, in food and as a water softening salt.

Potassium chloride is a white/pinkish crystalline salt, obtained in nature from the mineral sylvite, that dissolves readily in water. It is mainly a raw material for potassium fertilizer (muriate of potash), and is also used as a food salt substitute/additive, as a regeneration salt in water softening systems and in pharmaceutical applications. It is of Belarusian and Israeli origin.
