Sodium bisulfate is a solid salt, obtained by the partial neutralization of sulfuric acid, that gives an acidic reaction when dissolved in water (also known as 'dry acid'). It is used as a pH reducer in pool water, as an acidic component in toilet/surface cleaners, and in metal surface treatment and leather tanning.
