Distilled coconut fatty acid is a fatty acid mixture predominantly composed of lauric and myristic acid, obtained by the hydrolysis and distillation of coconut oil. It is used as a raw material in soap production, in the synthesis of surfactants (e.g. betaine and alkanolamide) and in cosmetic formulations.
