Formaldehyde-releasing preservative used in personal care products and detergent formulations.
DMDM hydantoin is a preservative that slowly releases formaldehyde in order to inhibit microbial growth. It is used as an antimicrobial preservative in shampoos, hair care products, cosmetics and some detergent formulations.
