Amine oxide surfactant used as a foam stabilizer and viscosity modifier in shampoos and cleaning products.
Lauramine oxide (dodecyldimethylamine oxide) is an amine oxide surfactant carrying a lauryl group and shows nonionic/amphoteric behavior. It is used as a foam booster and stabilizer, viscosity modifier and secondary cleaning agent in shampoos, dishwashing detergents and personal care products. Commercially, it is generally offered as an aqueous solution, and the active matter content varies by product.
