Coconut oil-derived nonionic foam booster used in shampoos and cleaning products.
Cocamide MEA (CMEA) is a mixture of fatty acid monoethanolamides (UVCB) obtained from the reaction of the fatty acids in coconut oil with monoethanolamine. It is a whitish-cream colored solid/flake substance with a melting range of approximately 60-63 °C. It is used as a foam booster, thickener and emulsifier in shampoo, shower gel and liquid soap formulations.
