Liquid caustic soda is an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and a strong base widely used in industry. It is usually sold commercially in the 30%-50% concentration range. It is used in many industrial processes such as pulp production, textile finishing, soap and detergent manufacturing, water treatment and pH regulation. Liquid caustic soda is a corrosive substance that can cause serious and permanent damage to the skin and eyes.
