Sodium silicate solution with an SiO2:Na2O ratio of approximately 2, used in the detergent, paper and construction sectors.
Sodium silicate (water glass) is an alkaline solution obtained by dissolving silicon dioxide and sodium oxide in water at a specific molar ratio (modulus). The modulus 2 product is used as a builder in detergent formulations, for bleaching/bonding in the paper industry, for soil stabilization in construction and as a binder in the foundry industry.
