Also known as: Water glassLiquid sodium silicate

Sodium silicate solution with an SiO2:Na2O ratio of approximately 3, less alkaline than modulus 2, used in the detergent, paper and construction sectors.
Sodium silicate (water glass) is an alkaline solution obtained by dissolving silicon dioxide and sodium oxide in water at a specific molar ratio (modulus). The modulus 3 product has a higher silica ratio and generally lower free alkalinity than modulus 2, and is used in the detergent, paper, construction and foundry industries.
