Alkanolamine used as a pH regulator and emulsifier component in detergents and cosmetics and as a grinding aid in cement.
Triethanolamine is an alkanolamine obtained from the reaction of ethylene oxide with ammonia. The product contains 85% triethanolamine, and the remainder consists of co-products such as diethanolamine and monoethanolamine. It is used as an emulsifier and pH regulator in detergents and cleaning products, as a neutralizer in cosmetics and as a grinding aid in cement.
